Dr. William H. Gorman is a board certified plastic surgeon who has practiced medicine in Austin for over twenty years.
After earning two degrees from the University of Texas at Austin, attended at Texas Tech University School of Medicine, and received his medical degree in 1975. Mr. Gorman did his internship and residency in general surgery University Texas Medical Center in San Antonio and is a member of the American College of Surgeons.
He then completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. He returned to Austin with his family in 1983 and has been practicing his specialty of plastic surgery.
Mr. Gorman is a clinical investigator for new devices in the field of plastic surgery. He was recently selected to participate in a national study exploring new implants Breast cohesive silicone gel. Sixty of the patients receiving these new implants in Austin as part of their breast augmentation surgery, and Dr. Gorman and his staff monitor their progress over a period of ten years.
Mr. Gorman is a founding member of Austin Smiles, the organization that sent three medical teams annually to Third World countries to treat children with cleft lip and other congenital anomalies. He regularly goes on mission trips and has operated on hundreds of children around the world.
In addition to a certificate in plastic surgery, Dr. Gorman is a member of the medical advisory board of the Austin Breast Cancer Center Resources, and belongs to several professional organizations.
Mr. Gorman is married and has three children. Her hobbies include reading, cooking, travel, golf and motorcycling.Education
