How Long Does Liquid Accumulate in the Abdomen After a Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) Operation?
My wife had this procedure 4 weeks ago and she continues to get more liquid in her abdomen. She is seeing the surgeon several times a week and they are removing the liquid with a syringe (not fun). Should we be concerned that there is something more seriously wrong here or is this normal?
That’s not normal at all. She should be almost healed by now.
Abdominoplasty does not go into the abdominal cavity – is that where the liquid is, or is it outside the fascia and under the skin?
This really is a question for the surgeon who did the procedure, but know that it isn’t normal.
